The LG Viper is a stylish, eco mobile phone with a pocket-friendly price. Powered using Android 2.3, it has a dual core, 1.2 GHz processor driving it all, but the best bit is that at the heart of this phone’s design is its environmentally sustainable construction.
The phone’s body shell uses 50% of post-consumer recycled materials; it is both RoHS and ULE Platinum Certified, so all the usual harmful suspects have been removed, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), brominated flame retardants (BFR), nickel, halogen, beryllium, and phthalates. It comes packed in 87% of recycled packaging that doesn’t use any glues etc. Making the box look pretty on the shelves is the use of Soy Inks and it comes with an energy efficient charger
On the front of the ‘eco-friendly’ Viper, it has a princely 5-megapixel camera and HD video recorder, round the back is a 4.63-inch touch screen, full QWERTY keyboard, it has about 1.5 GB of onboard memory and can take up to a 32GB MicroSD card as well. And for those who want to be quick about buying stuff, it has Google Wallet (NFC) technology installed, so you can just ‘tap & pay’ and it weighs in at 5 ounces…nice
